Bearing Induction Heater Manufacturer & Supplier in South Africa
Vivid Metrawatt supplies heavy-duty bearing induction heaters built for South Africa's toughest industrial environments. As a trusted bearing induction heater manufacturer and supplier in South Africa, we help mines, mills, and heavy plants mount and dismount bearings safely — with no flame, no oil, and no damage to costly rotating equipment.
Why South African Industry Chooses Vivid Metrawatt
South Africa's economy is anchored in heavy industry. The platinum and gold mines of the Bushveld and Witwatersrand, the coal operations of Mpumalanga, sugar and pulp mills in KwaZulu-Natal, and steelworks and power-generation plants all run enormous fleets of crushers, mills, conveyors, and pumps. Those machines depend on large bearings that face brutal duty cycles. In mining and heavy industry, unplanned downtime is measured in serious cost, and bearing replacement is a routine but high-stakes job. Open-flame heating is a fire risk underground and on dusty surface plants; oil baths are impractical for very large bearings. Induction heating solves both — bringing even the biggest bearings to precise mounting temperature quickly and safely, so maintenance crews can turn equipment around faster.
High-capacity heating
Built for large mining and mill bearings
Flameless & safer
No ignition risk on dusty or gassy sites
Fast turnaround
Reduces costly production downtime
OUR PRODUCT RANGE
Our Bearing Induction Heater Range
As an induction bearing heater supplier in South Africa, Vivid Metrawatt offers a full range built for heavy-duty demands.
Selection tip: Match the heater to your largest regularly-used bearing. Mining and milling operations handling very large bearings get the most from the EHML:25/40.

How Induction Bearing Heating Works
A three-phase supply is rectified and smoothed, then converted by an inverter into an AC field between 10 and 25 kHz. Delivered through an inductor coil, the field heats the outer layer of the bearing rapidly and uniformly. The inner ring expands, slides onto the shaft without force, and an automatic demagnetisation cycle leaves the component clean and ready.
Three proven heating methods
Fixed inductor around the workpiece
For dismounting bearing rings, labyrinth rings, pipes and rings.
Fixed inductor in and around the workpiece
Two coupled generators heat inner and outer rings simultaneously for stress-free mounting.
Pin inductor in the workpiece
Heats a bore for bearing or shaft mounting.

WE ARE GLAD TO SUPPORT YOU – ANYWHERE.
Our offer is rounded off by a reliable all-round service. This includes our comprehensive consulting and after-sale installation and maintenance of the equipment. We also offer worldwide training and seminars, covering all topics of electrical safety testing technology. These are also an epitome of our efficiency.
Our equipment is backed by full consulting, after-sale installation, maintenance, and training in heating and electrical safety technology — supporting maintenance teams on remote mine sites and heavy plants alike.
Yes. Higher-capacity models such as the EHS/EHSU:16 and EHML:25/40 are designed for large industrial bearings found in crushers, mills, and conveyors across the mining sector.
Induction heating uses a magnetic field rather than a flame, so there is no open fire or spark — a major safety benefit on dusty surface plants and in environments where ignition is a serious hazard.
Bearings are typically mounted at around 110°C. Our heaters hold a controlled temperature so bearings are never overheated beyond the limit that would soften the steel and shorten service life.
Faster mounting (minutes instead of tens of minutes), uniform heating, no flame or oil, no raceway damage, and quicker equipment turnaround — all of which cut costly downtime on high-value machinery.
By heating bearings quickly and consistently and eliminating cool-down and clean-up steps, crews complete bearing changes faster and get critical crushers, mills, and pumps back in service sooner.
